MICAH JONES SURPASSES $250 THOUSAND RAISED IN JUST 55 DAYS

Essex, MA – Today, US Army veteran, attorney, husband and father Micah Jones will file his first quarter fundraising report with the Federal Election Commission, reporting raising $257,951.75 in just 55 days since declaring his candidacy on February 5.  Jones’ campaign ends the quarter with more than $200 thousand cash on hand.

Jones’ total bests individual contributions raised by all his likely Democrat opponents in their first quarters as candidates except Dan Koh and John Beccia, while still exceeding Beccia in dollars raised per/day ($4,634/day for Beccia vs. $4,690/day for Jones.)  In addition, Jones’ impressive fundraising total came entirely from individual contributions with no personal loans or PAC dollars.

“I am humbled and energized by the tremendous outpouring of support for my campaign’s goals to deliver common sense, results-oriented, leadership for the residents of the North Shore and Merrimack Valley,” said Jones.  “Voters are responding to my campaign’s bipartisan message of accountability, opportunity, and security, and I look forward to continuing to travel the district and also share my campaign’s additional goals of turning down the temperature of our nation’s politics and focusing on doing what is best for the Massachusetts Sixth Congressional District.”
